Beautiful Tiefling Seer (Wizard)

Among those that find fair skin, delicate features and long golden tresses a mark of beauty Charm is always considered a beauty, even with the horns that are the inheritence of her race. Her pale violet eyes easily captivate those who speak with her, for they are pools of bright joy or deep sorrow, and sometimes a furnace of anger. Charm is short for a tiefling, standing just on 5’5" and she has a delicate build leading her to weigh a mere 116lbs.

People used to say she lead a charmed life, and it is that saying that led her to adopt the name Charm, but few knew the reason for her apparent good luck – foresight. She learnt early on that few people appreciated hearing about the future, and so she became adept at covering up how she managed to stop crossing the road and raise a hand to halt her friend before the careening wagon suddenly rounded the corner and should have crushed them both, and similar such events in her life.

As she grew older she saught out teachers to explain her gifts, ones who would not fear and detest them, and so she came to the Eyes of Ioun. These servants of Ioun revered her foremost as a goddess of prophecy, and they welcomed Charm with open arms, and soon intoruced her to Ketart the woman who would teach her the arcane arts.

Then a curious thing happened: as she grew in mastery of the arcane arts her precognitive gift waned. Now she rarely sees the future, only great events and terrible deeds echo through her dreams now often leaving her waking paniced from a rapidly fading dream. Yet still even the echoes of those dreams are valued by the Eyes of Ioun and recorded when clear enough.

That was her life until last week when she met a woman looking for the man Douvan Staul, a man whose name brings flashes of darkness and death to her waking eyes, and who since she has heard it has filled her dreams with equal terrors, terrors that have another name that looms behind them, a name that slips from her mind when her eyes open, but creeps in leaving her to shiver in fear when she closes them. Her dreams have given her only one clue, one hint for where these terrible things might be stopped: Fallcrest.

So it was that she took a horse and basic supplies and made all the haste the animal could bear for Fallcrest.
She has true visions, but these are entirly at the DMs discretion – ie they are a device for the DM to explain plot and provide knowledge only and give the character no abilities at all.
“Wizard’s Wrath” feat should be seen as “Fate Foreseen” – when she uses the associated power she gets a “vision” of the “area” and hence gets the mechanical benefits.
“Tome of Readiness” is also a way that her “visions” are reflected and shouldn’t really be seen as her “having a spell on hand” but as “always having the best spell on hand”.
If she is played and gains levels I will be choosing other feats etc to reflect that sort of “little edge” that can be tied by RP to her “visions”. (Along with some skill training to get some skills I want her to have sigh always seem to run out of skills…)
Similar things with her Rituals – there will be a strong focus on Divination style rituals and ones associated with gaining and preserving knowledge (being a follower of Ioun).
